See why Painted Acre is a now HUGE hit. The wine (93% cabernet sauvignon from Atlas Peak and Mt. Veeder and 7% cabernet franc from Pritchard Hill) is a wonderful purple color with ruby red hues. The nose is cherry with black fruit and violets. An appealing hint of spice is apparent from the 19 months in French oak. The wine is well balanced and structured. There is wonderful fruit on the palate including some black fruits and stewed cherries with just a hint of spice. The wine rolls over the tongue into a long and glorious finish with hints of vanilla and mocha. All we can say is: "Thank You John!"

From the moment you walk into WineStyles-The Vintage, your perfect wine and gift buying experience will begin. (click for brochure). When you enter our store you will step into an 'Old World' wine cellar with a definite Texas flair. You will be instantly surrounded by hundreds of great wines and wine related gifts and accessories. The majority of our wines are reasonably priced between $10 and $25 We pride ourselves on searching all over the world for great wines that will not leave your pocketbook in ruins. We are the exclusive Houston retailer for a number of great products - such as the 24% lead crystal Silhouette wine glass - and a number of fantastic wines including John Alan and Finca Los Primos from Valentine Bianchi. If you are looking for a higher priced wine for a special occasion or gift, don't worry, we also have a nice selection of more expensive wines in our "If You Insist" section.
You and your neighbors can enjoy a glass or bottle of wine in our "neighborhood tasting room" or on our outdoor patio! We do not charge a cork fee or set up fee. We foster a light hearted, casual, relaxed and fun atmosphere - more like a clubhouse than a bar - where you can taste, learn and enjoy wine with friends and family. It's casual elegance!
In addition, at WineStyles-The Vintage, membership ALWAYS has its privileges. Obviously everyone is welcome, but our "clubhouse" was built with our valued Wine Club members firmly in mind. Our Wine Club members not only enjoy two great wines each month (which are hand selected and then evaluated by Doug Frost, MS, MW and/or an independent Masters Wine Panel), they get 15% off their wine club wine re-orders, 10% off their everyday wine purchases, access to our exclusive Wine Club Room which is reserved for the use of our Wine Club members and for private events (on a first come first served basis), and discounts at local merchants such as 10% off purchases at Drew's Pastry Place and 10% Ariadne Fine Jewelry & Repair.
Wine Club members are also invited to our exclusive "Members Only" events and they enjoy other perks such as "call ahead" seating privileges (on a first come first served basis).
Come in and see just how much fun our members can have. There is no secret password, but you might have to learn a few slang terms and phrases. For example, thanks to members Brian & Cassey, you will routinely hear the following phrase shouted out in the wine club members room: " Can I use the defibulator?" We love our wine club members!
